English Photos part 2 - Visiting Family & Friends

After London came Pam's cousin Henry's family and house in Stowe Maries, near Chelmsford in Essex. After that comes Pam's cousin Frank's family & place near Saffron Walden & Cambridge, including some of the lovely buildings in Cambridge & Saffron Walden esp the traditional rendering found in the area.
You will continue to notice Pam's love of old buildings.
After Frank we move to our friend's Kim & Chris and their house in Alvechurch, near Birmingham and then the gathering at our friend John's place in Birmingham, incl. our greeting by Baabaara the sheep, Pam's 50th birthday cake and John's OBE medal. For more details, read the previous blog.
Finally we move to Alan's Aunt Joyce in Shrewton, near Salisbury, her village, and lunch with her daughter Mitzy and some of her family, plus a few shots of Stonehenge taken from the car because I didn't want to pay to go in.

The local church in Stowe Maries - note the weatherboard tower - there were a lot of
weather board buildings in East Anglia - this surprised us as we are used to stone and brick in England

Canal boats a bit further upstream
Please note, that these photos still look dark and wet despite using photoshop elements, because it was literally pouring with rain when I took them (Only "mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" and I might add the pouring rain. As I do both, what does that make me???!!!)
