Alan wrote a lovely blog on Sancerre several entries back. Finally here are the photos to accompany our words. Please feel free to re read the article if you have forgotten why we raved about Sancerre (apart from its Sauvignon Blanc white wine, that is!!) Views of Sancerre from afar: The vineyards surrounding the township
The township itself: The old Chateau (with our friends Cecily, Denise & Richard) Other buildings in town:
We (Pam & Alan) have been together 34 years (we met in Feb 1980). Pam has always liked travel and has been to Europe several times including United Kingdom, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Greece & Turkey; plus Israel, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and the USA. In recent years we have also travelled to China, South America (Chile, Argentina, Brazil & Peru) and also Antarctica and Easter Island.
Pam introduced Alan to the joys of foreign travel in 1994 when we travelled to the USA, England, Scotland, France, Italy and Hong Kong.
This blog was originally set up to document our first 12-18 month sojourn in Europe, but is now extended to include our 2 months of travels in the USA & Canada prior to and then including our home exchange in 2014 - 2016, - an extension of our love of travel and our desire to experience new cultures in a more realistic and intense manner.
