Venice Carnevale Video

Hi folks. I just had to get this one up as soon as I could, while it is still relatively current. There will be further blog posts about Venice Carnevale, containing much more commentary and the usual thousand or so photo's taken by Pam.

With this video, I took the opportunity to do all of my titles, credits, music and storyboarding before we actually went to Venice. This meant that it was just a simple matter of adding all of those delightful images we captured into an already existing movie. I hope you like it. We have enjoyed watching it ourselves, over and over, and we would value any comments you care to make.

Before I shut up and get out of your way, I must explain the apparently incorrect spelling of Carnevale. The spelling is actually correct as it derives from 'goodbye to meat', or in Italian 'Carne Vale' , as this is what traditionally happened 40 days before Easter, as people could not keep meat and other perishables at home during the hotter weather, so they cleaned out their cupboards and then had a great celebration. So now you know.

I'm pleased to report that no such problems exist today, and even as recently as this morning, I was at my local market buying a few slices of delicious fresh prosciutto. Magnificent!
